SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- One person was sent to the hospital following a shooting in Syracuse. It happened just before 10 p.m. Monday near the intersection of South Avenue and Bellevue Avenue.

Police said a 20-year-old man received multiple gunshot wounds after two men got out of a car and began firing shots. The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital and is listed in serious condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
