NEW YORK STATE -- As we've been reporting, the legislature and the Governor cannot agree on how to close a multi-billion dollar deficit. Though legislators are not scheduled to return to Albany until April 7th, some say that they haven't stopped working.
"There are ongoing discussions with the Assembly, with the Governor's office and with the Senate to get the budget that will be best for the North Country, for Central New York and for the whole state and get that passed as soon as we possibly can," said Senator Darrel Aubertine.
Aubertine says he believes a budget will be passed over the next few weeks.
