BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- A financial consultant in Broome County has been accused of stealing client money. The sheriff's office says Sherry Edwin, 42, of Oxford completed checks on the behalf of two clients, and cashed the money for proceeds totaling more than $39,000.

Edwin faces multiple charges, including two counts of grand larceny and falsifying business records.
