JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- The intense winds did damage at the Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville. The sponsor box seating area had a large section of its roof ripped away and dumped onto the grandstand and racetrack.
Similar damage, only worse, occurred during the microburst of 1996.
The track is owned by Rochester businessman Tiger Chapman who purchased it last year from the Caprara family.
