Let's start with the Snuggie for dogs. Snuggie, the blanket coat with sleeves, came out a few years ago and have been so popular with people that the manufacturers decided to make a version for dogs.
Snuggie for dogs comes in pink or blue and the sizes range from extra small, about five pounds, to large over twenty pounds. Be sure to measure your dog and order the right size so you won't have to deal with returns. They are 100 percent washable polyester and made in China.
Here's how they work. You put the Snuggie on your dog from under them, allowing their paws to step into it so it can be secured over their back. You may have to make a few adjustments to secure a proper fit. If you have a dog that struggles when you try putting something over their heads this design works well. Although they are not water resistant, at around $15 the Snuggie is a nice option if you are looking for a way to keep them warm on winter walks.
Next up, is the PediPaw. This gadget is designed to file your dog's nails without the stress of trying to clip them. It has a rotating file and a safety guard to prevent you from injuring your pets nails.
If your pet is sensitive to sound they may not like the buzzing noise of the motor, but lots of people have had success with this product like Hope's mom Laura.
“Hope likes it. I'm not afraid to hurt her,” said Laura.
The PediPaw is around $20, plus shipping. If you are reluctant to trim your dog's nails for fear of hurting them you might want to try it. But be advised it make take a little practice for you and your dog to become comfortable with it.
Any time you purchase items on line or through mail order, check out the company's return policy and make sure you can send it back if you or your pet isn't happy with it.
