SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- It didn't take long for Syracuse Police to identify the suspect in a bank robbery Wednesday morning. The M&T on South Salina Street was robbed just before 9 a.m.
Shortly after, police released a picture of the suspect. Police say tips started coming in almost immediately, identifying the man as Leonard Stephens, 34, of Canastota.
They tracked him down to the Western Ranch Motel on State Fair Boulevard in Lakeland. Stephens was arrested and is now charged with third degree robbery. It's not clear if the money was recovered.
