The summer storms and floods that took so much from so many, also took something from each one of us. National treasures that lay hidden quietly on our State’s landscape, that almost literally bridge the past and the present. Lost in the raging rivers were two of New York State’s historic covered bridges, symbols of a time gone by that we will never get back.
