For well over 30 years, the original Woodstock site in Bethel has been without an encore, simply marking the anniversaries of the 1969 festival with small gatherings of Woodstock veterans and the curious. But a few years back, a new performing arts center opened on the site. On the eve of the anniversary, Budd Mishkin sat down with its founder.

Woodstock producers look back

Woodstock was not the first large scale concert of its time. There had been the Newport Folk Festival and the Monterey pop festival, but in many ways, Woodstock would be the last, as art and commerce would start to go their separate ways.
