SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch unveiled the fourth logo in franchise history Monday afternoon and brought back the team's original mascot Crunchman in the process.
Crunchman was created when the franchise was born in 1994 but was replaced by Al the Ice Gorilla when Syracuse became an affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2000.
The new AHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning will debut the new jerseys in next season's home opener October 13.
