ESPN releases full Laurie Fine-Bobby Davis phone conversation

ESPN released a 47 minute audio tape recording that is the crux of Laurie Fine's lawsuit against the sports station. Laurie Fine is the wife of fired assistant SU men’s basketball coach Bernie Fine. She says that ESPN and two of its employees defamed her by broadcasting excerpts of the audio tape. Her lawyers say those excerpts were of statements taken out of context and claims ESPN doctored the tape. Our Erin Clarke has more.

A Brooklyn based energy service company has agreed to pay refunds to 2,700 consumers who may have signed up for electricity and natural gas service expecting savings. YNN's Bill Carey says the Attorney General says aggressive sales tactics left many consumers confused and facing bills that did not go down, but went up.

Protecting vulnerable New Yorkers

Governor Cuomo is calling for a new program to safeguard those he calls vulnerable New Yorkers. In 2011, there were more than 10,000 claims of abuse against those with special needs or disabled who are receiving services from state funded programs. The Justice Center, proposed by Cuomo would set new standards for care and put in place a mechanism to discipline those who violate the new rules. YNN's Bill Carey says the Governor took to the road in Syracuse to press for quick legislative approval.
