Resident Agent in Charge Tim Kirk offered an explanation as to why the service is looking for more agents.

“Our transition to the Department of Homeland Security has landed us another four hundred positions. We're not so much replacing people. We just need more agents in Washington, DC to work the outer perimeter.”

The starting salary is $42,000.

Tests will be given between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm.
