BINGHAMTON, N.Y.-- The Art School in Binghamton debuted a documentary on last year's ACA shootings and it's one they've been working on for the last five months.

Titled "Binghamton Heals: Surviving Tragedy at the American Civic Association," it is a project done in conjunction with a UMass Amherst professor and another local station.

The film interviews more than 30 people who were involved that day. The 90-minute piece looks at the day's events from different perspectives and delves into how the community came together to help. It also taps into the healing process of all those involved.

"The purpose is a way to bring healing to the community to the people who were involved, giving people the opportunity to hear all sides of the story and hear each other's stories so they don't have to experience this alone a year later," said Gloria DiFulvio, the film's co-director.

There were four separate showings Thursday night. For information on future showings, you can visit
