ALBANY, N.Y. - With their postseason fate in their own hands on Sunday, the Syracuse Crunch seized the opportunity with a 2-1 win at Albany in their regular-season finale to clinch their first playoff berth since 2008.
Syracuse clinched the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference, giving it a first-round matchup with No. 2 St. John's. The Crunch will have home-ice advantage for the first two games this Friday and Saturday, both starting at 7:30, and the remaining three will be played at St. John's next week.
