UTICA, N.Y. -- Car and dog enthusiasts joined forces on Sunday to celebrate at one of Utica's most unique Father's Day events. The third annual event at Redeemer Church in North Utica combines two things that dads love: motors and mutts.

The free event showcases collector vehicles dating back to the 1930s, but they have also featured some newer creations. The combined Top Dog Show starts with a parade followed by a vote for best dog. Organizers said they got this idea from a similar event held in Nantucket.

"It was hysterical, and it was a lot of fun. So we decided, you know what, we don't have anything in the area like that. There are a lot of car shows but to me, Father's Day is kind of a special day. So we thought it'd be kind of a fun way to celebrate," said Stephen Lisi, organizer.

There is $100 prize for the best car in show and a free raffle entry for fathers.
