BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- We have a traffic alert to pass along if you'll be in downtown Binghamton next week. The intersection of Court, Chenango and Exchange streets will be closed starting at 6 a.m. Monday.

That's so work can continue on the Court Street Gateway Project, which has been in progress since March.

Along with Court Street's first repaving in 25 years and other improvements, crews are building a new roundabout at the intersection as part of the $2.7 million project.

The intersection is expected to reopen at 5 p.m. next Friday.

The entire Court Street Gateway Project is expected to be finished in November.
