Suspect escapes from moving vehicle
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- A Binghamton man shows that some people will do just about anything to try and get out of trouble. Deputies said they arrested Matthew Rule, 28, on an arrest warrant for criminal contempt.
While being transported to the county jail, deputies said Rule told the driver he was going to be sick. When the deputy partially rolled down the window, Rule hopped into the seat, and pushed himself out of the window while the car was moving.
After hitting the pavement, deputies said Rule was unable to get up, and was taken back into custody. He now faces an additional charge of third degree escape.
