Legal Eagle: Penn State sanctions
On Monday the NCAA imposed a $60 million fine, a four year bowl game ban, reduced football scholarships, and the forfeiture of 112 wins on Penn State's football program. This, in the wake of the child sex abuse scandal involving former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky. Now this morning, Penn State's president said the university is "adequately covered" to handle lawsuits stemming from the scandal, but hopes to settle many of them "as quickly as possible".
