Elmira native qualified for Olympic final

LONDON, U.K. -- Elmira native Molly Huddle has qualified for the 5,000 meter finals in the Olympics.
The Notre Dame graduate finished Tuesday morning's second heat in a time of 15 minutes and two seconds, good for fifth place in the heat. The top nine runners in heat two and the top six runners in heat one qualified for Friday's final.
Huddle is currently the U.S. record holder at 5,000 meters.
Friday's final will be held at 3 p.m.
