HERKIMER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Herkimer Police have made an arrest related to a large fight Saturday morning that resulted in two stabbings. Police say the fight broke out around 4:30 a.m. in the 100 block of South Washington Street.

Two men, ages 22 and 24, were treated for puncture wounds at the scene and at an area hospital.

Officers were able to recover a weapon. Others involved in the fight chased a suspect to a residence where another fight broke out.

The suspect, Joshua Laveck, 24, and another man were also taken to the hospital with injuries. Police arrested and charged him with assault in the first degree. Laveck was sent to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail.
