DEWITT, N.Y. -- A Central New York restaurant featured on a national food channel gets a surprise visit from a familiar face.
Last year, McShane's Restaurant and Pub in DeWitt was featured on the Food Network's show "Restaurant Impossible." It was considered by television host Robert Irvine as one of the "most horrendous" eateries he had ever seen and underwent a total makeover.
Wednesday night, the series aired it's 50th episode, which highlighted the most memorable remodels, and revisited McShane's to see how they've kept up.
Owner Cindy Baker said she's proud of where the restaurant is at today.
"The restaurant certainly has changed, you know a lot has changed, a lot is the same, we have a lot of the same clientel, but i think we're better than we've been before," said Baker.
Host Robert Irvine agreed, saying in Wednesday night's episode that McShane's "looks awesome."
