JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A North Country man has been accused of robbing a home and then continuing to threaten the victim through text messages.

Deputies arrested Jaquenton Simmons, 23, on Monday. Investigators say he busted into a Leray home with a handgun on October 21st, taking several items. After the break-in, Simmons allegedly sent text message threatening to hurt the victim and his family.

Simmons has been charged with robbery, burglary, aggravated harassment, as well as gun and marijuana charges.
