Police kill wild boar roaming Utica streets
UTICA, N.Y. -- A wild boar found running through the streets of Utica was shot and killed, and there might be one more still on the loose. Police found the animal at the intersection of Culver Avenue and Broad Street after receiving several calls from people in the area.
They say the boar became aggressive toward the officers, so they fired several shots. Police believe there were actually two wild boars in the area, but only one was found. Police say it was between 200 and 250 pounds.
Police are warning people that if you see a wild boar, stay away, and call police.
