Car break-ins reported throughout Oneida County

ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Oneida County Sheriff's office is warning residents about car break-ins in the area.

The sheriff's office has been investigating a string of vehicle larcenies in southern Oneida County. They say the incidents started Friday and have since spread elsewhere in the county to various neighborhoods.

They say items being stolen include sub woofers, amps and GPS devices.

Authorities are reminding people to lock their cars and be mindful of car alarms and lights going on during the middle of the night.

If anyone has any information regarding the thefts or know of anyone attempting to sell or trade similar items, they are asked to contact sheriff’s deputies in Waterville at (315) 841-8520.
