Second wild boar spotted in Utica

UTICA, N.Y. -- It might be hard to miss, but a second wild boar roaming the streets of Utica continues to elude police.

Wednesday, officers were forced to shoot and kill a boar that became aggressive after they approached it at the corner of Culver Avenue and Broad Street. At the time, they cautioned that a second boar may be on the loose and now there is evidence.

This photo was posted to the Utica Police Department Facebook page. They say the animal appears to be significantly larger than the first one, which weight about 250 pounds. They want to remind people that if you see one of these animals, stay away and give police a call.
