Ithaca woman arrested for attempted robbery
ITHACA, N.Y. -- An Ithaca woman is behind bars following an alleged attempted robbery. It happened around 2:45 a.m. at the Tops Market.
Police say Wendy Kastenhuber, 39, displayed a knife, then demanded money and cigarettes. An employee sounded the alarm and Kastenhuber fled, but police responded quickly and located the suspect.
Kastenhuber is charged with first-degree attempted robbery. She'll be arraigned later today.
