BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- The First Niagara Bank in Conklin was closed Wednesday afternoon while State Police investigated a robbery there.

A man walked into the branch on Route 7 around 2:30 p.m. and demanded money from the teller. He didn't show a weapon, but did get away with cash.

Troopers have since released these surveillance photos as they try to identify who the suspect is. As you can see, the man had a purple hat on and his face was covered up by a bandana. Troopers say he's about 5-foot-8.

Police don't know which direction he was headed when he left, but they are asking anyone with information to give them a call. The number for State Police is (607) 775-1241 or you can call 911.
