Legal Eagle: BP agrees to pay government penalties
Oil giant BP will plead guilty to a dozen felony charges stemming from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The company also says it's agreed to pay $4.5 billion in government penalties. In April 2010, an explosion on BP's Deepwater Horizon rig killed 11 workers and filled the Louisiana coastline and other parts of the Gulf with millions of barrels of oil. It was one of the worst oil spills in history. Here to talk about the case for us is our very own Legal Eagle, Paul DerOhannesian.
