SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Crews in Syracuse worked quickly to keep an apartment fire from spreading further in the building. It happened at an apartment complex on Midland Avenue around 12 p.m. Friday.

Officials say the fire started in a bedroom and was contained to that apartment. The number of people living there is unknown, but we're told everyone got out safely. No one was injured in the fire.

The cause is still under investigation.
