Bridgewater man arrested on DWI charges
ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Oneida County man has been arrested for DWI after deputies say he hit two parked cars, a picnic table and a telephone pole. It happened in the Village of Bridgewater around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Deputies say Quenten Briggs, 32, of Leonardsville first hit a parked car in a driveway in Bridgewater. He then drove to the Ace Garage on Route 20 and hit another parked car. Briggs then drove through the lawns of another business and a home nearby where he hit a picnic table.
It all ended when deputies say the hood of his Jeep opened, blocking the windshield and causing him to hit a telephone pole.
Briggs was taken to St. Elizabeth's Hospital for injuries to his head and hands. He has now been charged with DWI, as well as a number of other charges and traffic citations.
