Teacher resigns after drug-related arrest
STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A teacher in Steuben County has resigned after being arrested on drug charges. Back in July, Corning Police say they got a call about someone asking a local pharmacy employee to steal narcotics in exchange for money.
Heather Darcangelo, an English teacher in the Corning-Painted Post School District, was arrested and charged with attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Darcangelo submitted her resignation letter, which took effect on November 30th.
