FULTON, N.Y. -- A Fulton man has been charged with felony rape after police say he physically and sexually assaulted a woman.

Fulton Police say Lee Johnson Jr., 35, has been charged with rape in the first degree, unlawful imprisonment, menacing and harassment.

Authorities say on July 30th, Johnson allegedly assaulted an unknown victim by punching her in the head and grabbing her throat. They also say he engaged in sexual intercourse against her will.

The victim sustained minor injuries during the assault.

Johnson is being held on $10,000 bail.
