SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Fire ripped through a home along the 200 block of McLennan Avenue in Syracuse early Saturday morning. Two adults and six children were able to escape the flames. No one was injured.

The fire started on the second floor of the home, and the building suffered major damage.

American Red Cross volunteers are helping the family. No word on what sparked the flames.
