OSWEGO, N.Y. -- An Oswego man who was brought back to life after going into cardiac arrest earlier this year was reunited with his rescuers Wednesday afternoon.
Jim Favata, 56, had just walked out of the Oswego Lowe's when his heart stopped back in September. The Oswego Fire Department arrived within minutes and began working on him. By the time he was taken to Upstate University Hospital, he once again had a pulse.
Doctors say he suffered an arrhythmia of the heart.
Wednesday, Favata had lunch with the first responders who saved him.
Favata is recovering well. He's looking forward to spending time with loved ones and getting back to work at Novelis after the new year.
