ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A woman was killed in a one car crash in Oneida County after striking a large tree. It happened on Barrell Road in the Town of Florence just before noon Friday.

The Oneida County Sheriff's office says Mary Dupont, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene after losing control of her truck. Dupont's car left the roadway and hit a large tree so hard, that it split the tree in half. The truck then overturned and came to a rest on the passenger’s side.

Two of her passengers, a 25- and 20-year-old, were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
