SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A woman has been hospitalized after she was hit by a man police say was driving drunk.

According to Syracuse Police, a 42-year-old woman was hit while walking on the 1100 block of Wolf Street around 11 p.m. Friday. She was taken to Upstate University Hospital with serious injuries. There is no word on her current condition.

The driver, Russell Mike, 48, has been charged with second degree vehicular assault, driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
