MONTGOMERY COUNTY, N.Y. -- Police have released more information about the conditions in which more than 50 dogs were living.
On Wednesday, State Police were tipped off to a barn in the Town of Minden, Montgomery County on State Route 5-S.
They say they found over 50 dogs there, mostly pit bulls, living in an unheated barn alongside fecal matter and one deceased dog. The dogs were suffering from various health issues, including frostbite, open sores and worms.
Removing all the dogs took two days and the help of several animal shelters and agencies.
No arrests have been made. There is also no word on when or if these animals will be available for adoption.
