SU student robbed on Van Buren Street

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse police are searching for a man who robbed a student early Saturday morning. Police say an SU student reported being robbed by a man on Van Buren Street just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

The student told police the man came up behind him and knocked him to the ground. He says the man threatened to stab him and ran off with his money and property. The student was not hurt in the robbery.

The suspect description is limited, but he's about 5’11” tall, 160 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and grey ski mask.
