UTICA, N.Y. -- This year's Boilermaker is already looking to be a momentous one, but its record breaking registration isn't the only reason.
The new training t-shirt is bound to start a conversation and runners will see why after they sweat in it. Technology allows a secret message to show through once perspiration comes in contact with the fabric. This year's message says "No Sweat."
"A lot of times you go through, if you've run a lot of races, I've been going through a bunch of my stuff and I've got boxes and boxes of t-shirts, but this is something different, something new to show off to people," Mary MacEnroe said.
This isn't the first time the Boilermaker has offered shirts with a message. In 2011, they sent shirts to soldiers in Iraq who ran the Boilermaker away from home. Their shirts revealed the message “I Ran Iraq.”
