CAMILLUS, N.Y. -- Demolition work is underway at the historic Camillus Cutlery plant. The building was destroyed by a massive fire Monday afternoon.

Crews are trying to get the structure flattened as quickly as possible. They expect to have everything knocked down by the end of the day.

Fire investigators also remain on scene.

Authorities say the fire started while maintenance work was going on inside the building. Firefighters battled the flames throughout the night.

Everyone got out of the building safely, but two National Grid workers were injured when a nozzle broke off a hose.

Some surrounding roads were also closed up until this morning, but they have since been re-opened.
