Orange battles Providence tonight
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- While many are looking ahead to this weekend's Georgetown clash, thousands of people will be packing the Carrier Dome tonight as SU looks to stay on top of the Big East standings.
The eighth ranked Orange will take on the Providence Friars at 7 p.m. SU beat Providence 72 to 66 on the road earlier this year. But the Friars have been hot recently winning four straight games, two of them against ranked opponents.
If SU wins, they will tie Marquette for first place in the league.
