Stabbing suspect indicted for assault

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- One of the suspects in a stabbing involving the Syracuse Police Chief's son has been indicted on assault charges.

Antwann Underwood is accused of participating in the assault that left Frank Fowler Jr. injured back in January.

Police say Fowler was stabbed and assaulted by two men on South Avenue before being taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A grand jury indicted Underwood on a second-degree assault charge.

The other suspect, Demetrius Archie, is also charged with second-degree assault in addition to criminal possession of a weapon.
