Two pit bulls found shot dead on railroad tracks

WHITESTOWN, N.Y. -- Two dogs were found shot to death on railroad tracks in Whitestown. Police say a railroad employee found the pit bulls last Wednesday after they were reported missing from Utica two days earlier.

Investigators say they found the owner of the dogs through a lost and found website for pets.

Now, police are asking for the public's help to find who shot them. If you have any information, you can call investigators at (315) 736-1100.
