ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A local woman celebrated her 107th birthday on Thursday. Book Club Members of the Nottingham Residential Health Care Facility helped Hilda Broad celebrate the big day.

The 107-year-old credits literature, friends, and family, including her twin brother, for her longevity.

"He and I were devoted to each other. We grew up together, and we went off to various colleges together. So I was always happy," she said.

Broad also says she has big expectations for the future, and is looking forward to continuing her active lifestyle.
